The excitement surrounding Diljit Dosanjh's highly anticipated India tour is palpable, as fans scrambled to secure tickets during the pre-sale, which sold out in record time. Within just 15 minutes of the pre-sale going live, the popular Punjabi singer revealed he had sold an impressive 1 lakh tickets for his "Dil-Luminati Tour," set to take place in 10 cities between October and December.
Pre-sale bookings, which opened exclusively for HDFC Pixel Credit Card holders, saw tickets flying off the virtual shelves. The most affordable tickets, priced at ₹1,499 for the Silver area, were quickly snapped up, with prices later increasing to ₹1,999. Meanwhile, Gold standing tickets, priced at ₹3,999, were also gone within minutes. The priciest tickets, for the Fan Pit, reached as high as ₹12,999 for Phase II and ₹9,999 for Phase I.
With such high demand, ticket resales have already begun to surface online, with some being offered at nearly double the original price. In certain cases, resale prices have reached as high as ₹21,000.
Amid the buzz, social media became a platform for discussions, with many fans celebrating their purchase, while others expressed disappointment at missing out. One particular post caught attention, as a user shared that they knew someone who had spent a whopping ₹41,265 on concert tickets. The post, shared by Kanishk Khurana on platform X, sparked debate, with Khurana advising people to make "better financial decisions" considering the high price for a three-hour performance.
