This leadership change comes after the departure of Amit Sureka from his role as the country head of financial markets. Yes Bank a prominent private sector lender has announced the appointment of Nirav Dalal as the country head of its financial markets division. This significant move was made public on Wednesday as the bank seeks to strengthen its leadership in the financial markets sector.
Nirav Dalal is a seasoned banking professional boasting over 27 years of extensive experience in the financial markets and treasury domain. He has a proven track record of building and scaling proprietary and client-facing businesses which positions him well to lead Yes Bank's financial markets division. Prior to this appointment Dalal served as an advisor for treasury consulting at Ernst & Young (EY) where he played a crucial role in expanding the treasury business for a leading private sector bank in India.
Dalal's career also includes nearly 15 years at Yes Bank where he managed various challenging roles within the financial markets vertical. His previous experience extends to holding key positions at IDBI Bank Ltd and Global Trust Bank Ltd. He is equipped with a master’s degree in business administration specializing in finance from the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research.
This appointment follows the recent departure of Amit Sureka who was relieved from his responsibilities as the country head of Yes Bank's financial markets division in August. The bank has not disclosed the reasons behind Sureka's removal but the transition in leadership reflects Yes Bank's ongoing efforts to enhance its operational capabilities and market position.
