Shriram MF Reduces Minimum Investment for Overnight Fund, Effective September 20

Shriram Mutual Fund has announced a reduction in the minimum investment requirement for its Shriram Overnight Fund, effective from September 20, 2024. This move lowers the minimum lump sum investment from ₹5,000 to ₹500, making the fund more accessible to smaller investors.

In addition to this change, the fund's Systematic Investment Plan (SIP) options have also been revised. The new SIP minimums are:

• ₹500 for 24 instalments
• ₹1,000 for 12 instalments

These updated SIP options are available across multiple frequencies, including weekly, fortnightly, monthly, and quarterly plans, providing flexibility for investors to choose the schedule that aligns with their financial needs.

The lower investment threshold opens the fund to first-time investors and those with smaller savings, offering an affordable entry into the Shriram Overnight Fund. By reducing the SIP amounts, the fund encourages disciplined, gradual investment, allowing individuals to build a corpus over time.
