Partha Pratim Sengupta Assumes Role as Managing Director and CEO of Bandhan Bank

Partha Pratim Sengupta officially stepped into his role as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bandhan Bank on Friday. His appointment, approved last month by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), will span a three-year term. Sengupta takes over leadership from Ratan Kumar Kesh, who has served as the bank’s interim MD and CEO since July 10, 2024. Kesh will now return to his previous position as Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of the bank.

Sengupta brings a wealth of experience to Bandhan Bank, with a career spanning over three decades in the banking industry, covering leadership roles in strategic planning, corporate banking, and retail banking.
